I only wish that the SS United States was docked in New York harbor so she could get a hero's salute with fire boats as she leaves the city for the last time. It would have been a sight to behold. Kathy W的完整评论

Sorry not to have seen your question until today. I am guessing you found out the answer but I will write it now. The conservancy has a website with all of the information; the address cannot be stated (Tripadvisor rules) but google SS UNITED STATES and you will find the site as an 'org' and I think you will get it. She is a grand ship to see. Go on a Sunday morning. I found it to be a quiet time in the area. I was able to park, look through the fence and take photos. I am sure that a police officer will probably tell you to move as I am not sure how legal my spot was but it was near the fence just off Delaware Ave (or now known as Columbus Blvd for you youngsters). With her aluminum upper story she just refuses to give up. I do hope she can be saved as a maritime museum now that the Chrystal Cruises (also online) deal fell through two years ago. I applaud them for donating to the conservancy though. She is a wonderful example of US achievement.
