The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft, Bedard reached the 100 point mark in just 112 games— the fastest since Sydney Crosby, who accomplished the feat in 80 games in 2005-06. According to NHL PR, he's the 24th teenager in NHL history to collect 100 points.

CHICAGO- The Chicago Blackhawks know that they have a stud in Connor Bedard. There are detractors because there are other parts of his game that need work (as is the case for every teenage NHL player) but there is no denying his offensive upside.

The Blackhawks spent the offseason adding some veteran pieces around Bedard so he could begin flourishing with the right influences around him. They added Taylor Hall, the No. 1 overall pick in 2010 that's bounced around to several teams, along with more skill in Teuvo Teravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Connor Bedard had a goal and an assist, and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-1. Frank Nazar and Ilya Mikheyev also scored for Chicago, which had lost six of seven.

Bedard tallied a goal and an assist in the Hawks' 3-1 victory Wednesday, extending his point streak to eight consecutive games. Petr Mrazek and Seth Jones stepped up, too.
