According to Steve Blackburn, general manager at Madame Tussauds London, Sir Elton, 77, has consistently inspired the team to push boundaries with their designs, starting with his first waxwork in 1976, which was the museum's first talking and smiling figure.
Elton John 'first of its kind' figure at Madame Tussauds
Elton John is to receive a "first-of-its-kind" waxwork at Madame Tussauds London later this year. The wax figure, described as one of their "most ambitious to date," will celebrate the megastar's 50-year career. The museum announced the upcoming figure will be reminiscent of the 1970s when Elton first shot to fame.
