Two warming stations are available for people needing relief from freezing temperatures expected this weekend. Kingdom Living church, southeast corner of 21st and Broadway, will open its warming shelter at 10:30 a.

Even after the snow system moves out, temperatures will remain below freezing through midweek. Wind chills will continue to be a factor, and any lingering snow could cause travel issues. There may be a slight warm-up by the end of the week, but expect winter conditions to dominate.

EST an extreme cold watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Monday 1 a.m. EST until Wednesday 10 a.m. EST for Cass, St. Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale and Berrien counties.
