The controversy began with a Facebook post accusing the owner of being rude to veteran customers who came into the store for the company’s Veterans Day promotion.

The company that owns Firehouse Subs has apologized after a Georgia veteran shared her family's negative interaction with a franchise owner on social media.

Brianna Lancaster, a veteran and customer at the Pooler location, reported unprofessional conduct from the owner including explicit language, name-calling, and general rudeness towards the customers and the special that he said was costing them a lot of money.
