Elijah Caudill, 24, is accused of stabbing four people over the weekend, killing two of them. DENVER — Prosecutors on Friday formally charged the man who's accused of carrying out a series of attacks on the 16th Street Mall in Denver over the weekend.

In the six months leading up to the murders, 65 violent crimes were reported within a block of the mall.

Elijah Caudill, 24, was arrested on investigation of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, according to jail records.
