There’s something undeniably magical about biting into a freshly baked apple turnover. The crisp, golden pastry gives way to a warm, spiced apple filling that practically melts in your mouth.
Roll out the puff pastry to make a square roughly 34x34cm ... Use a fork to press down and seal the edges. Brush each turnover with beaten egg and sprinkle over the remaining caster sugar.
Place into the oven and bake for ten minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. To serve, dust the apple turnover with icing sugar and serve with a dollop of the custard.
